Excellent academic performance requires fresh air.

29.08.2022

The first of September will soon be here and students will have to go back to school. For whom it is already customary, for whom it will be the first year of school. In order to achieve good learning results, good learning conditions are also necessary and a sufficient supply of fresh air is an important component.

A Harvard University study shows that at about 950 ppm CO2 concentration in the air, our cognitive ability decreases by 15%, but above 1400 ppm, it decreases by 50%. Air pollution and high levels of CO2 indoors can cause headaches, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, which in turn directly affects productivity and, in schools, the success of students.

Mostly exchange of fresh air in schools s good but, what happens when the student comes home and has to concentrate on doing homework? At home, we often do not think about the concentration of CO2. Therefore, it would also be important to ventilate the premises regularly or build a ventilation system, which is effective, but the costs are quite high. That is why the company Europlast has created several products to ensure air exchange in rooms.

Natural ventilation systems are one of the most convenient and cost-effective options. They are easy to install and are able to provide fresh air exchange in the room. It is also definitely recommended to consider installing a recuperator in a flat or in a house. Almost as easy to install as natural ventilation systems are single-room heat recovery units, which costs a little more, but ensures continuous air exchange in the room and allows to reduce heating costs during the heating season, because the heat recovery unit accumulates thermal energy from the air leaving the room and warms the fresh air entering the room, thus ensuring minimal heat loss.

We wish you a successful new school year!
